How to measure your ring size

There are various ways to measure your ring size and fortunately they’re all pretty darn easy. Keep in mind that your fingers may be thicker in the morning than in the evening though. And they can be a bit bloated on warm days. Just something to keep in mind.

1. MEASURING YOUR RING SIZE AT THE JEWELER
This is the most precise and efficient way to determine your ring size, since a jeweler always carries a ring sizer set that can determine your ring size in a matter of seconds.

2. MEASURING YOUR RING SIZE AT HOME
If you don’t happen to have the time to stop by the jeweler or you can’t seem to find one in your vicinity, then you can also measure your ring size at home. All you’ll need is a ring that fits well on the finger in question or a piece of rope or paper. Aside from that, you’ll also need a ruler to get the job done.

Measuring your ring size with a ring
Choose a ring that fits nice a snug around your finger and is no more than three millimeters wide (the use of wider rings usually tends to result in a distorted ring size). Proceed with the following steps:
1. Place the ruler underneath the ring. Move the ring on top of the ruler and place the inside of the ring on the 0 centimeter mark.
2. Read on the other side what the diameter of the ring is in millimeters. The amount of millimeters you see will be your ring size.

Measuring your ring size with rope or paper
If you don’t have a well-fitting ring for your desired finger, you can still determine your ring size. Just take a piece of rope or a strip of paper, wrap this around your finger and cut it on the exact point so the two ends meet. Measure the length of the rope or paper with a ruler and you’ll be able to see what the circumference of your finger is in millimeters. In the image above, you’ll be able to see which ring size matches your circumference. For example, if the circumference of your finger is 53 millimeters, then you have ring size 17.

3. THE AVERAGE RING SIZE
We strongly discourage ordering a ring based on ‘the most common ring size’. No hand is alike, which makes buying a ring based on mere guesswork a waste of your time and money!
